- I am Ezio Auditore da Firenze
Now this game is iconic & needs no intro. Some would say it even replaces one of Ubisoft’s other iconic game that has fallen in to some what decline; am referring to of course the Prince of Persia games.
For me assassins creed II was a headache to do. I’ve had this game for two years and it took me over a YEAR & a HALF to finish it. Yes I am that bad at it. But then again I never really play action, adventure games that much. But this was an exception. The story blew me away. And the character Ezio has depth. And not just him but the side characters too. The game has the player so immersed that you forget that you are actually playing a game.
Anyway, there was a funky moment in the game; I was climbing up a house when I got fired at by one of the guards and what ended up happening was I actually fell in to the building. And I couldn’t get out, so I had to exit the game and then go back & start again, obviously it was a glitch. But it was funny though.
I won’t lie, there where the plenty of times where I did get frustrated with the character, I press the jump button and he will either jump a bit late or jump too early, missing my intended area of platform.
I did find some of the missions quite hard to do, mainly because I lack “subtle” or tactic when approaching these type of missions. Maybe because I never really used the surroundings or the “dancing women” to great effect. I tend to either use the mercenaries or thieves. But over time, I got use to using all of them depending the situation [or mission] required.
Towards the end of the game there were some compulsory missions you had to do, I kept on dying on the farmer one. That mission was the main reason I took a long absence from the game. And it wasn’t even that long to do, all of them that is.
But anyway since I finished the game there are some things that I want to do to get a full completion. I’ve some what restarted it, but this time like Ezio with wisdom and greater understanding of how to become a better assassin.
4/5
